StatJack support

A little help
getting started.

Your Mac’s stats, a little easier to read.

Install StatJack

The current download is for Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 14 or later. GPU usage is shown when supported by your Mac’s hardware; thermal state reports macOS thermal pressure.

Open the latest DMG, drag StatJack into Applications and launch it. Click its menu bar icon to open the system overview.

Choose your metrics

Open Settings from the panel. Under Menu Bar Display, enable the CPU, RAM, disk, network, GPU or thermal metrics you want to see. Icon Only keeps the menu bar compact.

Choose a menu bar refresh interval in Settings. The Dock controls let you enable a Dock icon and select a badge metric. Launch at Login keeps StatJack ready after you sign in.

Set CPU and memory alerts

Enable CPU Alert or RAM Alert and choose a percentage threshold. Allow notifications when macOS asks. If alerts do not appear, check StatJack under System Settings → Notifications.

Alerts are triggered when usage crosses your threshold. They are not a continuous notification for every reading above it.

Understand GPU and thermal readings

GPU usage depends on the utilization data your Mac exposes. A missing reading does not mean the GPU is idle.

The current app reports macOS thermal pressure as Normal, Elevated, High or Critical. This is a system state, rather than a CPU temperature in degrees. Older screenshots may show a temperature-style label.

Disk figures describe the startup volume. Network speeds show upload and download activity, with totals for the current monitoring session.

Keep StatJack updated

Use Check in the About section of Settings to look for a newer release. When an update is available, use the in-app update button or download the latest stable DMG here.
